About the Author
I first became interested in a writing career as a 16 year old at Brooklyn Technical High School in New York City when every week my teacher read her favorite story to the class and every week she read my story. But I was a physics major and decided it was “safer” to stay in physics. I passed a PhD exam in physics, got a Masters Degree in it and then switched to medicine when I discovered I was overqualified for many physics jobs at the time. I became a radiologist with subspecialty training in neuroradiology. Along the way, I have written many scientific articles, many unpublished stories and owned a bookstore in our local town. In March of 2026 after practicing for 40 years, I retired from radiology. But the idea of writing creatively that was spawned, years earlier, by a gifted high school teacher, has been a lingering desire, dwelling deeply inside me.
